Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Network Administrator responsible for managing, configuring, and supporting an organization’s network infrastructure. This role involves ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of network systems and services. The Network Administrator will work closely with other IT professionals to design, implement, and maintain network solutions that support the company’s business objectives.

 

 

Duties and Accountabilities :                                     

  • Design, implement, and manage network configurations, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
  • Configure and maintain Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and other remote access solutions.
  • Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and best practices.
  • Provide technical support to users and resolve network-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform diagnostics and repair of network hardware and software problems.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and incidents.
  • Analyze network performance and make recommendations for improvements or upgrades.
  • Implement quality of service (QoS) policies to ensure efficient bandwidth utilization.
  • Maintain accurate records of network configurations, topology, and inventory.
  • Prepare and present reports on network performance, incidents, and project status to management.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff and departments to integrate and support network services.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on network-related issues and best practices.
  • Plan and execute network projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new installations.

Technical Expertise: 

  • Proficiency in network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Knowledge of network operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux).
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Qualification Required    :    Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in any discipline

Experience Required       :    4-5 Years

       Salary               :         £38,800 (Per Annum)
